Getting Started
Welcome to Somnia Validator Monitor Bot! This guide will help you start monitoring your validators in just a few minutes.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, you'll need:
- A Telegram account
- The validator address(es) you want to monitor
- Access to the bot (ask your administrator for the bot username)
Step 1: Start the Bot
- Open Telegram and search for the bot (your admin will provide the username)
- Click "Start" or send
/start - You'll see a welcome message introducing the bot's features

Step 2: Subscribe to a Validator
To start monitoring a validator:

/subscribe -
The bot will ask for the validator address:

Send the full validator address (starting with
0x)0x1234567890123456789012345678901234567890 -
You'll receive a confirmation:
✅ Successfully subscribed to validator 0x1234...7890
Step 3: Change Language (Optional)
If you want to use the bot in a different language:

/language -
Select your preferred language from the menu:

The bot will immediately switch to your chosen language

The bot's menu is set to English by default. Menu prompts are displayed in the language chosen by the user in the Telegram application, supporting 5 languages.
Step 4: Check Your Subscriptions
To see all validators you're monitoring:
- Send
/status - You'll see a list of your active subscriptions with current status

What Happens Next?
The bot will automatically monitor your validators and send you notifications when:
- ✅ Your validator joins the current committee
- ❌ Your validator leaves the current committee
- 🔜 Your validator is selected for the next epoch committee
- 📤 Your validator is removed from the next epoch committee
Quick Tips
- You can monitor multiple validators - just use
/subscribefor each one - Use
/helpanytime to see available commands - The bot checks validators every 5 minutes (committee status every minute)
- All your subscriptions are saved - they'll remain active even if the bot restarts
